The SparkyMobile - Watt's in a name?

Richard “Sparky” Watts 11/7/1933 – 1/23/2021

Sparky was an authentic gentleman, known for his sparkling wit, kind sense of humor and compassionate action. He was also, among other things, a Lion, a runner (including the Boston Marathon) and an avid bicyclist.

Sparky rode 8 of the first 10 ACT rides to raise awareness and funds to help folks living with HIV/AIDS in Wisconsin - 36 days for 2600+ miles, plus many additional miles of training.

In 2007 at age 73, he rode

• 100k Horribly Hilly, with 5700+ feet of climbing
• ACT 5 (300 miles in 4 days)
• 100k Dairyland Dare, with 5000+ feet of climbing

Sparky’s last ACT ride was ACT 10 in 2012, at age 78.  May he rest in peace.
